A new network of community based choirs in Cornwall! The project started in summer of 2009 and now has choirs now up and running in Penzance, Truro, Hayle, Helston, St Austell and St Ives. Our sister choir, "West Cornwall Children's Choir" meets at Penwith Music Centre at Humphry Davy School in Penzance on Mondays at 3.45pm during term time. If you have always wanted to sing, but never plucked up enough courage to have a go, here is your opportunity! Perhaps you are an experienced choral singer looking to have a bit of fun and let your hair down? - Again, we need experienced singers to become involved and encourage those who may be new to choral singing. Weekly practices feature a range of music from simple rounds and canons to concert pieces - in fact, everything from Bach to Bon Jovi! This is an ideal opportunity to introduce non singers (or people who haven't done any singing for a while) to the joys of choral singing and once they've been bitten by the bug, encourage them to join already existing evening choirs! No auditions - just come along to a weekly rehearsal in your area. - Click on the "Local Groups" button to find out more!
